The project considered for sponsorship is a fitness program for encouraging the youth to adopt exercises. The majority of teenagers in the world perceived exercising as an optional activity and most of them deemed exercise as a futile activity (Biscaiaet al., 2013). However, physical benefits of fitness are more than what can be depicted on a piece of paper. Sponsorship is required to promote any kind of program and especially in the instance of the given case study. Two specific sponsorship schemes are chosen for implementation (Baim, Goukasian & Misch, 2016). The rationale for selection of the sponsorship method has been explained below along with a brief illustration on the concept of sponsorship and its application in marketing a fitness program. Teenagers are considered as the successors of the present generation. The working population of the future will comprise of today’s teenagers. Hence teenagers should understand the importance of their contribution to global progress. Sponsorship can be defined as the aid provided by an organization to another organization.

The organization which accepts sponsorship must oblige to certain needs of the sponsor especially publicity. The sponsorship methods chosen for the case study are celebrity endorsements and business sponsorships. Teenagers generally abide by the lifestyle of their celebrity role models. Hence the program can utilize the presence of certain celebrities who embody fitness (Chien, Cornwell & Pappu, 2015). Teenagers can find inspiration from their role models which would motivate them to consistently engage in exercise. Role models must be chosen from specific niches such as athletics, basketball, cinema and television. Teenagers are highly involved in popular culture and hence have a close proximity with every form of entertainment and are responsive to changes in popular culture. Celebrities of cinema and television have toned physique which can motivate the teenagers to start practicing exercise in their daily routines.
