Widely, same sex marriage has been regarded as a debatable conception across various nations (Woodford et al, 2012, pp 73). As from the perspective of society, same sex marriage is essential as a concept because it is related to human and morality related rights. Things have now started to change. More respect and integrity is obtained by individuals disregard their sexual preferences (Woodford et al, 2012, pp 59). Still, there are several individuals opposing same sex marriage legalization. However it is essential to allow people their freedom of choice regarding who they marry and why as it is their civil right. Civil rights are distinct from religious institutes (Sharpe, 2013, p 301). Civil rights governing same sex marriage in turn help to support individuals in building strong value of family and leads towards increasing the number of adoptions (Sharpe, 2013, p 301). So I highly support same-sex marriage to be legal and I will focus on offering a support to socialization of same sex marriage.For several years many researchers have argued that same sex marriage is not something that a civic society should accept. This has been reflected in various court rulings across several states such as Kentucky, Michigan and even Tennessee.

Medicine and psychiatry for example has acknowledged homosexuality to be a deviant attitude and many foolish theories on the same have been explained (Sharpe, 2013, p 301). The extent of regarding homosexuality as a medical condition is apparent when most medical practitioners argue that homosexuality should be treated regarding it as a disease (Sharpe, 2013, 61). But in my opinion, marriage is a social institution that requires people to bind with each other. The focus on sexual identity regarding marriage further complicates the view by making it a societal concern when it is only a matter of individual sexual preference which is essential for everyone (Campion et al, 2015 pp1853). There is no doubt that there is free will regarding civil rights which offers free will regarding sexual preferences. Marriage is an institution binding two individuals and same sex marriage is another way to balance the feelings of two individuals.
