Illegal immigrant is referred to as an individual who either makes an entry in a nation through illegal sources, or enters through legal sources but the terms of visa are violated to make an entry in the nation. This is done without the permission of government. Apart from the illegal entry made, illegal immigrants have a significantly negative impact over the economy of United States of Nation (Medina, 16). The thesis statement for this paper is that the government of US should be taking appropriate actions for dealing with the issue of illegal immigration. This statement will be discussed in this paper.
Background of Illegal Immigrants: Enrique’s Journey
The background of illegal immigrants can be understood by considering the discussion created in Enrique’s Journey. With respect to Enrique’s Journey, approximately, 1.7 million young children had been living in the United States of America through illegal sources, and had been separated from their parents at certain point of time. Almost one in every four children in the system of public school in US is known to be immigrants or the ones having parents who are immigrants (Nazario, 294). The Enrique’s Journey is about children who leave the Central part of America moving towards US and face a significantly difficult journey. The journey involves encounter with the gangsters of Mexico that contribute in creating more problems for the immigrants (Nazario, 294). In considering with this, it can be stated that immigration to US involves sacrifice and courage, and specifically for the poor immigrants, the journey and the destination can be considered as an event involving trauma that affects the members of the family in a significant manner.
