在参加这门课程之前，我的印象是领导和管理职位是一样的。似乎一个有效的管理者是一个有效的领导者，他需要有领导经验。从这门课程中可以了解到，领导者是那些在带来变革方面起着重要作用的人，他们能够让人们朝着他们共同的愿景前进。另一方面，管理者关心的是确保最后期限和可交付成果得到满足。高效的管理者是有远见的领导者(Hind, and Moss, 2011)。尽管如此，经理不能只关注较小的可交付成果，而忘记共同的目标。领导人能够激发人民的灵感，并确保实现这一愿景。要成为一名领导者，必须具备适应环境的能力和创造性思维(Watson and Reissener, 2010)。在产品创新与满足市场对产品的需求之间应该有一个平衡。这不是一个容易的步骤，需要仔细审查和分析问题。
From initial analysis I found that the current job market has eclectic workforce emerging from different parts of the world. In this process it is imperative to stand apart from the competition and increase the chances of being employees. By developing these skills it enables in developing a careers (Cottrell, 2008). Apart from this, focusing on the potential of a person leads to personal growth. It invariably increases the chances of aiding in development of personal self and technical skills. The inter skill training courses enables a person to understand the local industry knowledge and be a supplemental factor to enable growth in the job market (Boddy, 2013). I think it is important to state my standpoint and my experience before writing a reflection about the course. My expectation is to develop skills to be employable and also possibly develop a lucrative business venture after gaining real-time experience. My purpose of undertaking this course was to improve my soft skills and ability to effectively undertake leadership role in the companies. Purpose of this analysis is to reflectively retrospect the two aspects of skills development that was shaped during this module. The report will state the reasons for selection of the two skills, methods employed to learn the skills and an action plan about the ways in which the skills will be used in the future.
Prior to undertaking the course, I was under the impression that leadership and management position were both the same. It seemed that an effective manager is a effective leader who requires to have leadership experiences. It was understood from this course that leaders are the people who are instrumental in bringing changes and able to make the people move forward into their shared vision. On the other hand, managers are concerned about ensuring the deadline and the deliverables are met. It is important to be an efficient manager to be a visionary leader (Hind, and Moss, 2011). Nonetheless, the manager cannot be focused on the smaller deliverables and forget about the shared objective. Leaders enable in the inspiration of the people and ensure that there is moving towards the vision. To become a leader, it is imperative to have the ability to adapt and think creatively for the situation (Watson and Reissener, 2010). There should be a balance between the innovation in the product developed into meeting the market requirements for the product. This is not an easy step and it requires careful scrutiny and analysis of the issues.
