In china, the healthcare services are becoming very expensive, that makes most of the people difficult to access the health care facilities here. It is affecting both the urban and rural population in an adverse manner. The rural people are more affected and about 39% of the rural population is not able to access the expensive treatment or healthcare facilities in China. As per the research, about 30 % of the Chinese patients are not hospitalized even when they were asked to be hospitalized. This is due to the high expensive medical treatment , which they are not able to afford. This situation is alarming to the country and the low efficiency of the doctors are also leading to a major problem. Due to this situation, most of the SOEs are gone out of the scene. The employment rate has reduced in the healthcare sector, the medical insurance coverage given to the people in China is also decreased, leading to more issues. The healthcare expenses has increased along with the rise in the government funding.
The quality of the patient care has come low in China and this has drastically affected the Chinese patients. Most of them are not satisfied as shown in the above figure. This has lead to an increasing rate of medical tourism. Medical tourism is another challenging and troublesome issue for Chinese government. When patients travel to different developed or developing countries for treatment, the GDP will fall in China. This will also affect the economic growth in China in an adverse manner. The healthcare industry is one of the booming sector around the world. If prime focus is given for its development, the Chinese government will be able to gain more economic development to the country through this sector (Millar,, Jian, Mannion,., & Miller, (2016).
