Initially, before joining the course, I felt a little overwhelmed when I was thinking of the ways to motivate people and analyze the talent of the people. During the course, I remember gaining perspectives about talent management. I started to comprehended that they are designs used to improve the process to find out the appropriate person for the job, developing talent and retaining people (Lewis and Heckman, 2006). These are required to meet the current organizational needs. The talent management is considered to be a fundamental aspect to the human resource development (Berger and Berger, 2003). The concept of talent management is needed to be an integrated strategy that combines a number of skills that individual needs to be develop (Cappelli, 2008). They need to identify the skills that are needed for the execution of the business strategies and the identification of the skills. These are needed to close the gaps. Most of the important factor is development of the organizational culture that encourages the workforce as well as utility of the conventional human resources management activities.

There was focus given to the ways to address the conflicts and finding ways of performance management in the system (Lewis and Heckman, 2006). The general analysis of the organizational design was helpful in gauging the talent of the people. I learnt and did not research on the motivational theories. The theories of Hertzberg two factor theory, Taylors theory of scientific management, Maslow theories of motivation and contemporary research on the motivation of the people are some of the theories that enable in easier gauging of the people (Lewis and Heckman, 2006.). These theories explain about the human psychology and ways to analyze the people. There is deep focus provided to understand the people. However, these are generic theories that would vary based on the subjective nature of the situation. They create the general paradigm of assessing the people and determining systematic ways to analyze people. I learnt a lot in this process and I felt that I wanted to learn more about it in the future.
