The San Andreas Fault refers to a faulty continental transformation extending approximately across 800 miles region across California. It has formed the tectonic borders between the North American Plane and the Pacific Plate, and its key motion is horizontal or right- lateral strike skip (Brenguier et al. 1482). The fault is divided into three different segments in which each is known for having different attributes and different level of risk for earthquake. The most significant segment of all is the southern segment that can be seen passing across 56 kilometers or 35 miles of Los Angeles.
