The Lord then said to Moses that he would come to their land in the form of a cloud. He further asked Moses to go back to the people and warn them to stay pure and fresh. Moses warned the people to do the same and also to wash their clothes. He told the people that the Moses will come the next day (Exodus). On the third morning, there was a dense cloud and lightening. There was smoke all around and it rose in the smoke of a kiln and the mountain trembled.

After this, the thunder and lightening started to creep again and people stood at a distance. They said to the Moses that they will obey and they do not want to die.
